Sorry for the late update! I'm home! We stayed in Muizenburg, South Africa, for two weeks. The whole trip was truly eye-opening and definitely something I would like to do again. We had a team of 12 people: 4 leaders and 8 students. Students from all over the states, and we all just clicked. In just 3 weeks, I got so close to these people, and I am so grateful I got to experience this with them. I got to share God's love like I have never before, and this has helped me be more comfortable with doing so. This trip has taught me a lot about trust and patience, even when I didn't realize it. I also learned how different the world outside of the U.S. is. The culture there is very different; even a few miles away from each other, it was like two different worlds. One of my favorite parts of this trip was the kids and the fact that we got to host multiple kids ministries. They were all very sweet, funny, and on fire for God, especially the ones who didn't have much or anything else. We had the opportunity to hand-make beaded bracelets for both youth and kids. We probably gave out about 100 in total, and each kid had a smile when they saw them. This showed me that even the simplest thing can bring so much joy to a person and to not take those things for granted. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our time there. Also, it was so beautiful there; definitely recommend looking up pictures because mine don't show a bit of the beauty. And a big thank you to everyone who supported me in any way; I love you all!
